Leather is a material that develops its own character over the years, and your travels together help to create this character. With the right care, your blade guard will be your companion for many years.

Here are the best tips:

• The buttons on the side of the bag, which serve as the closure for your case, may be a little stiff when you first use it. However, the leather will soon adapt and you will have a permanent, firm but handy closure.
  
• Your blade protector is designed for transport. Small splashes of water don't bother it, but you should avoid submerging it. If a drop of water leaves a stubborn stain, simply wipe your entire bag with a damp cloth. This will give you an even surface again.
  
• If your protector gets a grease stain, e.g. from creams, you can carefully iron it at low heat with a paper towel in between, as this allows grease to dissolve from the pores and the surface becomes finer and more even again
